The following lists represent agencies and health care providers who have requested to have their clinics and agencies listed on this website. The lists are not comprehensive of all agencies and providers of pregnancy-related services in Alaska. The individual lists below are arranged alphabetically by community under each category. Local telephone directories may provide further contact information for pregnancy-related services in Alaska.

State of Alaska Public Health Centers:
State Public Health Centers provide both individual and population-based preventive health care services. Contraceptive education and counseling, condoms, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, and referral to appropriate services for additional care and resources are provided by public health nurses at public health centers statewide. Preventive women's health exams and prescription contraceptives are available from Advanced Nurse Practitioners by appointment at some public health centers. Hospitals, Community Health Centers, Rural Health Clinics, and Private Health Care Facilities:
The agencies and clinics listed below offer a wide variety of services, ranging from comprehensive primary care and pregnancy-related clinical services and/or support, to family planning services and referrals. Note: some tribal health facilities only serve Native beneficiaries. For details about the services offered at each site, please use the drop-down menu below to contact the site nearest you.

Pregnancy-related counseling, support, and/or clinical services:
The lists below contain the following agencies and health care providers:
  • Private health care practitioners (MDs, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Midwives, and Physicians' Assistants) licensed in the state of Alaska to offer pregnancy-related services, support and/or referral; some may offer family planning services; some offer services and support for all pregnancy options, including abortion. For details about the services offered at each facility, please use the drop-down menu below to contact the site nearest you.
     
  • Social workers, licensed by the State of Alaska, who specialize in pregnancy-related counseling, support and referral.
     
  • Faith-based agencies can offer faith-based, pregnancy-related support, counseling and referral to pregnant women, and post-abortion counseling. Some sites also can provide maternity clothes and baby items free-of-charge.

    Adoption Agencies and Specialists:
    A licensed adoption agency or an experienced attorney or social worker can help you with the many decisions and legal issues about adoption. The agencies and adoption specialists listed below can provide counseling and support services for pregnant women seeking adoption information and child placement assistance. In addition, the attorneys listed below focus on assisting people with the adoption/child placement process as a part of their practice in Family Law. The local yellow pages also may list other private attorneys in your community who specialize in child placement assistance.
    Please note that not all agencies listed below are licensed by the State of Alaska. Please contact directly the listed agency or individual provider to obtain information about their licensing or certification or to visit the State of Alaska, Office of Children's Services for more information about adoption.
